Juan Camilo Jiménez-Valencia sits as an international arbitrator in commercial disputes and acts as counsel, tribunal secretary / assistant to the tribunal, in commercial and investment arbitrations (under the Presidency of Prof. Bernard Hanotiau). Overall, Juan Camilo has been involved in more than 30 international arbitration proceedings as counsel, assistant to the tribunal, and most recently as an arbitrator himself.
Juan Camilo’s experience includes high-value and complex cases under a variety of arbitration rules (ICC, SIAC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, LCIA, DIFC-LCIA, CEPANI), spanning various industry sectors such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Nuclear Energy, Construction, M&A, Banking, Real Estate, Hospitality, Consumer Appliances, and Aviation. Furthermore, he repeatedly acts as a panellist in in-person and virtual speaking engagements / courses, regarding hot topics in international commercial and investment arbitration.
Prior to working at Hanotiau Tossens Goldman, Juan Camilo worked with Hanotiau & van den Berg (2018-2025), Latham Watkins LLP, Paris (2017), and Dentons, Bogotá (2013-2016).
